Award-Winning Saxophonist Rock Hendricks Returns to Jazz at The Shops Maui Visitors and Residents are Treated to an Evening of Soulful Jazz on April 4

Wailea, Maui, Hawaii – (March 20, 2018) The Shops at Wailea announces the return engagement of renowned saxophonist, Rock Hendricks, at Jazz at The Shops on Wednesday, April 4.

A saxophone master, Hendricks holds nine Billboard #1 smooth jazz hits and has recorded with such musical legends as Michael Jackson, Bonnie Raitt and Sammy Hager.

Hendricks debuted his first solo album "Can't Let Go" in 2016. Hendricks formed a natural bond with the saxophone at age nine, after receiving his first saxophone from his father. By age 15, he was performing with the soul groups in Oakland, California. This experience greatly influenced his soulful jazz music to this day.

Jazz at The Shops takes place every first Wednesday of every month from 5:30 to 7pm on the Upper Level near luxury retailers.

In a continued effort to give back to the community, The Shops at Wailea supports a different Maui nonprofit each month with sixty percent of the special event parking fees going back to the non-profit. April’s nonprofit recipient is Imua Family Services. The Shops’ goal is to enrich the community through exploration and discovery in the arts and music while supporting local businesses and non-profit partners. The fourhour special event parking voucher is available for $5 and can be purchased at the non-profit’s parking table.
