Flip Flop Shops Celebrates Grand Opening at The Shops at Wailea on April 8

Curator of Beach & Relaxation Footwear Hosts Special Event Featuring Live Music, Refreshments & Giveaways

Wailea, Maui, HI (April 4, 2022)–The Shops at Wailea, is proud to announcet he Grand Opening of Flip Flop Shops, a leading beach and resort footwear retailer of flip flops, casual shoes and accessories. Festivities will take place Friday, April 8 from 11am-3pm starting with a traditional Hawaiian blessing ceremony outside the store at 11am. 

Following the blessing,guests will be welcomed into the store and treated to live entertainment by Joshua Kahula, a solo acoustic musician,and prizes from a Spin WheelGame (no purchase necessary). Special offerings from various retailers at the Center including complimentary cookies from Honolulu Cookie Company and refreshments from Honolulu Coffee will be available for all to enjoy. Discount cards from Lappert’s Hawaii will also be distributed for future ice cream purchases. 

“Since the arrival of Flip Flop Shops in January, our guests have flocked to the store for their footwear needs,” said Diana Whitt, General Manager and Vice President Property Manager of The Shops at Wailea. “This special event officially celebrates their grand opening and welcomes guests to step into the comfortable world of fantastic footwear they’ve curated.”

As they settle into their new home at the Center, Flip Flop Shops is committed to having a positive impact on the local community through their new partnership with Maui Food Bank. During the event, Flip Flop Shops will be collecting food items and cash donations for local families.Most needed food items include canned meat and tuna, canned fruits and vegetables cereal, soups with proteins, rice and pasta.

The 1,066-square foot store features over 90 footwear, apparel and accessory brands and is located in The Shops’ Lower Valley next to Ruth’s Chris Steak House.Hawaii residents can receive a 20% kamaaina discount with valid ID.
