GOTTLING Home Store Invites Shoppers to a Benefit Christmas Party Enjoy Holiday Shopping at The Shops at Wailea While Giving Back

Wailea, Maui, Hawaii – (December 12, 2017) In keeping with the yuletide’s spirit of gift-giving, GOTTLING Home Store has partnered with nonprofit organization, Book Trust, to present Gottling’s White Christmas Party on Thursday, December 14 from 5:30-10 p.m. at The Shops at Wailea.

The Gottling White Christmas Party was created as a unique shopping experience that invites GOTTLING Home Store visitors to shop for the perfect holiday present -- from an exquisite collection of home accents and accessories to unique and elegant gift ideas -- while supporting children’s literacy. During the special event, 10% of the day’s proceeds will benefit Book Trust, a national nonprofit organization that fosters learning by empowering children in need to choose, own, and love their books. Studies reveal that children are more likely to read books they choose and own, thereby encouraging learning.

“Book Trust is making a difference in the lives of thousands of our keiki (children) in Hawaii and on the mainland. I am delighted to help spread the word about Book Trust among our generous Maui community,” said Karl Gottling, interior designer and owner of GOTTLING Home Store.

Families are welcome to this highly anticipated event where they will be treated to hors d’oeuvres, wine, and cookies as well as festive entertainment. Live music sets include the Madrigal Chorale rendering Christmas carols and a guitarist playing holiday tunes. The highlight of the philanthropic-inspired evening will be story time as Christmas elves read books aloud to children.

“We are so grateful to Karl Gottling for donating 10% of the event sales to Book Trust and helping spread the word about our mission,” said Shay Goodfellow, Hawaii director of Book Trust. “Through this collaborative event, we hope to make holiday shopping more purposeful as we continue to cultivate learning and promote literacy to children in need.”
