The Shops at Wailea Announces New Monthly Event Series, Jazz at The Shops Guests Can Enjoy an Evening of Enchantment and Complimentary Entertainment by Renowned Musicians

Wailea, Maui, Hawaii – (September 18, 2017) The Shops at Wailea is excited to announce the debut of a new musical series, Jazz at The Shops. Starting Wednesday, October 4, guests are invited to an elegant, complimentary outdoor performance featuring renowned jazz musicians.

"We’re always looking for new and exciting offerings to enhance the guest experience,” said Brian Yano, General Manager of The Shops at Wailea. “Jazz at The Shops will take guests on a musical journey through the many distinctive styles of jazz in a relaxed outdoor setting.”

To kick off the first event, award winning musicians Rock Hendricks and Benny Uyetake will serenade guests with a soulful jazz performance. Sax master, Rock Hendricks holds nine Billboard #1 smooth jazz hits and has recorded with such musical legends as Michael Jackson, Bonnie Raitt and Sammy Hager. Hendricks will perform alongside multi Nā Hōkū Hanohano Award winner and jazz guitarist, Benny Uyetake.

“Listening to jazz under the stars with a loved one or friends is the perfect way to spend an evening in Wailea,” added Yano.

Jazz at The Shops will take place the first Wednesday of every month at 5:30-7pm on the Upper Level near luxury retailers. Each month new musicians will be featured.

Special event validated parking is available for $5 and can be purchased the day of the event at The Shops’ nonprofit parking table. Each month, The Shops at Wailea supports a different Maui nonprofit with sixty percent of the special event parking fees going back to the organization.
