J. McLaughlin Debuts First Hawaii Store at The Shops at Wailea

Classic American Brand Brings World-Class Signature Collection to Maui

Wailea, Maui, HI (September 20, 2019) – The Shops at Wailea unveils another exclusive as J. McLaughlin, the classic American clothing brand, debuts its first Hawaii store at the premier shopping center on September 20, 2019. New-York based J. McLaughlin has been delivering its signature style rooted in the tradition of sport, work, and play since 1977. Located on The Shops’ upper level fashion wing the 1,400-square foot J. McLaughlin store will showcase a distinctive collection of modern classic resort clothing for men, women, and children. Renowned for classic clothes with contemporary relevance, each store is unique and specifically designed to embody its locale’s environment, color, and character.

The Maui store, designed in partnership with Doug Larson of New York-based Larson Architecture Works, incorporates the tradition of great American resorts while celebrating the island vacation spirit. Design features include pale blue walls, a whimsical tent-style striped ceiling, white-washed cabinetry with porch-inspired detailing, wide plank oak floors plus turquoise and sand-woven carpeting.

The new store will feature an exclusive, only-on-Maui collection of colorful floral and geometric print dresses, jackets, tops and other items designed by Kevin McLaughlin, co-founder and creative director.
